Pietro Ameglio is a Uruguayan-born peace activist and promoter of nonviolent civil resistance. He is cofounder of the SERPAJ chapter in Mexico (his home for the last four decades), a former chair of the philosophy and letters faculty of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and the 2014 recipient of the El-Hibri Peace Prize.
