Amy Boyd is a professor of botany, ecology, and evolutionary biology at Warren Wilson College. Her writing has been published in literary journals such as Whole Terrain, Dark Mountain, Flyway, and Mutha Magazine. Scientist by training, educator by profession, and artist by nature, she lives in Swannanoa, North Carolina, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
