Calvin B. DeWitt (b. 1935) is a leading Christian environmentalist and conservationist who works with local governments, churches, organizations, and communities to create better environmental policies. DeWitt has lived much of his life in the Waebesa Marsh in Wisconsin. His background in biology and zoology, environmental efforts, and writings have helped to create a dynamic Evangelical movement for environmental preservation and won him various awards. He was instrumental in co-founding the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN) in 1993. DeWitt speaks nationally and internationally about the need for a more sustainable approach to environmental conservation. He is currently a professor of environmental studies at the Nelson Institute, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
