J. D. Flynn, editor-in-chief of The Pillar, is a journalist, canon lawyer, and advocate for the full inclusion of people with disabilities in the life and ministry of the Catholic Church. Before founding The Pillar, Flynn worked as editor-in-chief of Catholic News Agency, and chancellor of the Archdiocese of Denver. He is a husband and the father of three children, two of whom have Down syndrome. His writing has appeared in the Washington Post, New York Post, National Review, America magazine, and various Catholic and scholarly publications.
