Malcolm Guite is a poet, singer-songwriter, and author of eight books, including What Do Christians Believe? and Sounding the Seasons. He serves as the chaplain of Girton College at the University of Cambridge, and moonlights as lead singer and guitarist for the blues-rock band Mystery Train. Born in Nigeria to British expatriates, Guite received a master of arts in English literature at Cambridge and a PhD from Durham University. As a poet he cites Seamus Heaney, T. S.
