Joseph Herman Hertz (1872–1946) was a rabbi and biblical scholar. Born in in Rubrin, in modern-day Slovakia, he was Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom from 1913 until his death. His is the author or compiler of many works, including A Book of Jewish Thoughts and the Jewish Prayer Book.
