Michael Manning lives on the Isle of Man and has spent a lot of time with people who are homeless. He has written for ISAAC (International Substance Abuse and Addiction Coalition), the Baptist Times, and EthicsDaily.com. He is the author of the nonfiction No King but God (Resource Publications, 2015) and is the Eighth Manx Bard. His poetry has been published in Manx Reflections, the Manx Independent, Dreich Planet#2, and The 2025 URC Prayer Handbook: Immersive Joy (forthcoming). He now works as a healthcare assistant.
