Luci Shaw was born in 1928 in London, England, and has lived in Canada, Australia, and the United States. A graduate of Wheaton College, she became co-founder and later president of Harold Shaw Publishers, and since 1988 has been a Writer in Residence at Regent College, Vancouver, Canada. Shaw frequently leads retreats and writing workshops, and has lectured in North America and abroad. Author of eleven volumes of poetry, including Sea Glass: New & Selected Poems (WordFarm, 2016), and Thumbprint in the Clay: Divine Marks of Beauty, Order and Grace (InterVarsity Press, 2016), Shaw lives with her husband, John Hoyte, in Bellingham, Washington, where they are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She loves sailing, camping, knitting, gardening, and wilderness photography. Her most recent collection is Eye of the Beholder (Paraclete, 2018).
