Weildler Guerra Curvelo is an anthropologist and recipient of Colombia’s National Culture and Exemplary Citizen Awards. A member of the Colombian Academy of History, he has worked as Secretary for Indigenous Affairs for the state of La Guajira and currently teaches at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia.
