When it became clear that the radiation treatment for my throat cancer had failed, I began to lose hope. Hope collapsed in February of 2021 when a doctor told me that there were no curative treatments left and that I had “months, not years” to live. I have outlived that prognosis and another like it; still, my physicians see no prospect of a cure.

My question is, “How should I live my remaining days?”
