Thank you for sharing this book. It is through the written word that a person can find enlightenment. The thoughts of others written down and shared across time keep hope alive. I am inspired, as if a flame has been rekindled. I must read more. reading inspires thoughts, and thoughts rekindle the spirit, we are what we think.
What more can I say? In Christ's words, "but from the beginning it was not so" (Mt19:8). This book, "The Early Christians", takes us back to the beginning, which remains the best of Christianity. Anything other than this is undesirable as unacceptable. God bless you and enlarge your coast for such "wonderful resources" as this.
Your books, especially Early Christians has provided me much needed insight into the early community of Christians and how one is to follow Lord Jesus Christ then, and now. I had the opportunity to read The Early Christians In Their Own Words by Eberhard Arnold not long ago. From my perspective bas a Christian Historian (Christian History being my passion for over 30 years) this is one of those rare books that hit hard with good quality scholarship and at the same time invite the reader to go beyond their safe zone and learn about their faith - especially since the book guides the reader through much of the early gospel message and some important works of the first apologists on record. Even more, we are not challenged to have a dictionary, concordance, or several other reference books to glean many nuggets of knowledge that in some instances has been lost. It was a great read and I will never forget how much I enjoyed the journey through Theology and faith that was so rewarding to me.
